Description
Summary:From the theoretical approach of relative overpopulation, this article explains (and illustrates with secondary information) the paradox referred to how “informality”, instead of decreasing with capitalist development, expands as the automation of the productive processes of goods and services deepens, not only in the labor markets of the peripheral countries, but also in the labor markets of the central countries. The purpose of the article is to contribute to a reflection, which is considered essential, on the contradictions that emerge from automation in the era of digitalization, contradictions that denote the complexity of the human problems posed by capitalist automation, such as the growth of job precariousness associated with the increase of “informality”.
