Summary:The blessing is configured as a popular practice of healing, present in Brazil, and it was passed for centuries through orality. Faith healers are sought to cure ills, generally dedicating themselves to particular diseases and, in this sense, constituting a specific job. In this way, the present work focuses on the analysis, from the municipality of Caldas, located in the south of Minas Gerais, of this cultural manifestation in the 21st century, examining traces of how the capture and transmission of the craft occurs, the healing processes and the links between medicinal and religious fields. Based on the data of Oral History, through fieldwork, interviews were conducted with two faith healers from aforementioned municipality. Therefore, investigating focuses on years, analyzing the art of blessing between the years 2000-2020.
