| Summary: | In this article, I use a situation experienced by myself and a crab friend with capuchin monkeys in the mangrove swamps of the Marine Extractive Reserve of the Parnaíba Delta as an ethnographic case. Departing from auditory experiences involved in the capture of the uçá crab, I reflect on the anthropological concept of territory in dialogue: 1) with the notion of soundscape and the criticism elaborated on it by Tim Ingold; 2) with the category of fishing territory, developed by fishing social movements. Thus, I activate the sounds to propose a territory approach based on the practical engagements of living beings with the environment. |
