| Summary: | In this paper we discuss the possibilities, reaches and limits of audiovisual resources as a methodology for ethnographic research with children. To this end, we present the process of carrying out image capture activities with children from the village of Aiha, of the Kalapalo people, speakers of a Karib language of the Upper Xingu regional system, in the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso, and which resulted in the composition of the ethnographic film "Osiba Kangamuke- Come on, kids!" (2016). Next, we analyze the relations of the children with the camera, discussing the action of both in the making of a film that intends to present in an audiovisual way who the Kalapalo children are. We start, for that, from their imagetic choices, as well as from the discussion of the aesthetic and political phenomenon of making oneself seen by the other. |
