Description
Summary:The study of the relationships between the public, the architecture and the expography of museums and contemporary art landscapes (MPACs) are fundamental for curatorship projects and exhibition design in these spaces. The objective of this theoretical essay is to problematize the relationship between the architecture of art and the interaction with the public in MPACs. We start from the concepts of Habitus (Bourdieu, [1966]2007), architectural box (Cruz Pinto, 2007) and active museum (Montaner, 1995), using qualitative research with bibliographic review. We conclude that the dialogue between the architecture of art, the park/garden, the art exhibitions and the public in MPACs has to be permanently present, from the initial conception of the museum, to the daily changes during the assembly and disassembly of temporary exhibitions.
