Description
Summary:Introduction: This research aims to present the evaluations developed by the National Archives (Brazil) and the Ministry of Economy regarding the Electronic Information System (SEI), which used as a reference the requirements of e-ARQ Brasil: model of requirements for electronic records management systems from the National Council of Archives (Brazil). Objective: Carry out a comparative analysis of the evaluations developed by the National Archives and the Ministry of Economy on the Electronic Information System (SEI), according to the requirements of e-ARQ Brasil. Methodology: The study presents a qualitative, exploratory and descriptive approach with bibliographic research. Results: The classic concepts of Archival Science were approached, as well as the theoretical framework presented by the publication e-ARQ Brasil. Conclusion: Our research compares the analyzes carried out by these two institutions, and found that, despite both using the e-ARQ Brasil as a reference, we found that the evaluations reached divergent results when concluding whether or not the SEI is a electronic records management system (SIGAD), capable of ensuring that digital records remain authentic throughout their life cycle.
