| Summary: | This article has as its main objective to analyze panoramically the content produced by the Magazine La Escuela Popular (1912-1914), the diffusion organ of the Argentine Liga de Educación Racionalista. The Argentine branch was created in the year 1912 following the model of the International League for the Rational Education of Childhood (1908), created by the Catalan Francisco Ferrer y Guardia, which sought to continue the dissemination of the purposes of rationalist education on a transnational scale. The quanti-qualitative analysis of the twenty volumes published monthly by the journal indicated the main themes discussed throughout this production, as well as the main personalities who published in the journal. The aspects of the rationalist education proposal and the criticism proffered to state and confessional schools gained prominence in this analysis. |
