Description
Summary:This article investigates the correspondences found between Cristiano Lenhardt's contemporary artworks and the thematic trends announced by the anthropological discipline. Based on the two and three-dimensional pieces Betray the species (2014-2016), Broto cartas (2017) and Cobra desenhadora (2017), and together with a referential of Anthropology, I produce a series of reflections that identify in these Contemporary Art productions lines of dialogue with this other area of knowledge. I could notice that the relations between the "self" and the "other", the discussions about Nature and Culture, the themes of symbolic efficacy, materials and indigenous cosmologies are present in Lenhardt's horizon of interests. In the end, I briefly problematize the subjectivation that dialogues with the themes worked by the artist himself in his production and, at the same time, I realize that they form his identity as a subject in the world.
