Summary:The textile art incorporates artistic frames made with the patchwork technique, which occupies a space along with others artworks in displays, fairs, galleries and museums. The purpose here is to analyze constitutive content of some patchwork panels that took part in contests in both national and international textile art. Interlacing the concepts to the empirical analysis of frames, one realizes that this hybrid textile art, which combines art and craftsmanship, is permeated by ways to see artists as catalyzers of social cultural values, namely: labor, relationship with nature, social inequalities, celebrations, identity and ethnicity
