Description
Summary:The present article aimed to analyze the Historical and Archaeological Circuit of African Heritage, located at the port area of Rio de Janeiro, and to detail the degree of knowledge among the city residents. From a theoretical study of issues related to memory, racial representation and interpretive modeling in tourism, it was possible to develop an exploratory-descriptive research by using an online questionnaire containing 6 questions for data production. Its application between November 28th and 30th 2022 counted with the participation of 80 residents of the city of Rio de Janeiro, contacted by message application. Through the information gathered, it was intended to evaluate the effectiveness of official communication strategies and understand the forms of appropriation of historical traces by the research participants.
