| Summary: | Thought and sewn in adverse times, which have imposed reconfigurations in the most varied areas of our lives, this new volume of PROA is the result of the effort and persistence of a group of students, post-graduate students in anthropology and other areas, to keep alive a space focused on contemporary dialogues between the Arts and Anthropology, freely disseminating the work of many researchers. This effort is also an act of resistance, since it is part of a scenario in which we daily witness the systematic dismantling of public policies and institutions that support our work, whether they are public institutions for teaching, research, and extension, or those linked to the promotion and maintenance of the cultural sector, or those in the areas of health and environment, which so profoundly impact our lives, today and tomorrow. The Arts and Anthropology, also confronted with this complex and challenging conjuncture, not only suffer its impacts, but also respond to it through powerful and unique expressions. |
