| Summary: | The objective of this article is to analyze the different types of violence against the Tupinikim and Guarani indigenous peoples, in the Municipality of Aracruz (Espírito Santo state), during the Brazilian business-military dictatorship (1964-1985), practiced by the dictatorial State, by FUNAI and by the Aracruz Celulose Group. This article is divided into three parts. In the first, we discuss the creation of the project that gave rise to the Aracruz Celulose holding and the relationship between its partners and repression.
