Summary:Understanding contemporary educational trends can be a starting point for social education. In this perspective, the Projeto Mãos na Massa - Domestic Economy of sewing and customization offered by the Municipal Department of Education of Curitiba (SME), introduces dynamics for Elementary School II. The objective was exploratory and descriptive research. Along these lines, educational possibilities were analyzed through analyze the project from the point of view of Science curriculum parity. The methodology emphasizes qualitative, he approach of Environmental Education (EA), Science, Technology, Society and Environment (CTSA), associated with Scientific and Technological Literacy (ACT). It is concluded that the proposal can develop critical participation in different social practices, when incremented by different tools of digital didactic resources in the teaching-learning process.
