| Summary: | Brazilian legislation was a pioneer in recognizing Participatory Guarantee Systems (SPG), characterized by collective action in evaluating the quality of organic products. The expansion of participatory certification initiatives in Brazil has sparked studies due to the potential innovations of this model. Thus, this research analyzed the consolidation of the SPG Rede Borborema de Agroecologia, based on documentary research, semi-structured interviews and participant observation. It was found that adherence to this model was beneficial for the production system, especially for opening up the market, building knowledge, greater autonomy and greater visibility of female work, influencing the promotion of agroecology. |
