Description
Summary:This work identifies the formal and informal practices of selling used clothes at the 16 de julio fair, in the city of El Alto in the Department of La Paz-Bolivia, manifested in daily work through tacit knowledge and the cosmovision of commercial know-how. To do this, a qualitative approach was used, considering the ethnographic method, grounded theory and participant observation. In this way, trade know-how is reflected through manual records, customary obligations and, above all, verbal agreements. At the same time, they establish relationships with financial entities through bank loans and carry out responsibilities with the municipality. They also develop their own reading of the market, which can be seen in specific periods when used clothes are sold and which are presented as codes of life to trade in the popular economy.
