Assuming that textbooks are the main pedagogical materials that teachers and students of brazilian public basic education have access to, in this work we seek to highlight situations present in Physics textbooks that propose the use of audiovisual in a critical perspective, instigate studies of socioscientific aspects of the contents treated and take into account the active and protagonist participation of the students. When analyzing six collections approved in the Brazilian Textbook Programo f 2018, we identified many instances of the use of audiovisual media in a merely illustrative way and to reinforce the transmission of content by the teacher. However, in three of these collections, we identified some rare proposals in line with advances in research on the use of audiovisuals in Science Education. We will present some of these proposals with the intention of serving as an example to basic education teachers for more critical approaches and for the design of activities in which students can have a more active participation in the construction of their knowledge. |

A integração dos audiovisuais à Educação em Ciências é objeto de estudo de muitos pesquisadores, propondo sua incorporação às propostas de ensino e aprendizagem numa perspectiva crítica e intrínseca ao currículo, não apenas com caráter ilustrativo, instrumental e complementar. Assumindo que os livros didáticos são os principais materiais pedagógicos a que professores e estudantes da educação básica pública possuem acesso, neste trabalho buscamos realçar situações presentes em livros didáticos de Física que propõem o uso do audiovisual numa perspectiva crítica, instigam estudos de aspectos sociocientíficos dos conteúdos tratados e levam em conta a participação ativa e protagonista dos estudantes. Ao analisar seis coleções aprovadas no PNLD 2018, identificamos muitas ocorrências de uso dos audiovisuais de modo meramente ilustrativo e de reforço à transmissão de conteúdos por parte do professor. No entanto, em três dessas coleções, identificamos algumas raras propostas em conformidade com os avanços das pesquisas sobre uso dos audiovisuais na Educação em Ciências. Apresentaremos algumas dessas propostas com intuito de servirem de exemplo aos professores da educação básica para abordagens mais críticas e para o delineamento de atividades em que os estudantes possam ter uma participação mais ativa na construção de seu conhecimento.
