Description
Summary:The objective of this article is to analyze, from the perspective of waiting time, the working conditions imposed on app delivery people. Time is essential when carrying out these jobs, as they define goals, working hours and also affect the mental and physical conditions of the delivery people. In their free time, which predominates when carrying out uberized work, delivery drivers expose their weaknesses, fears and anxieties in the form of competitions, fights and take out their boredom with drug use. The data were obtained from a participatory ethnography, in which the author carried out fieldwork for 6 months. From this context, it is expected to deepen the debate on the precariousness of work, adding elements such as the choice of these delivery men in carrying out these jobs, presenting the particularities of the daily life of a group of delivery men who are concentrated in a square in Osasco, São Paulo.
