Summary:Juazeiro do Norte is known for its intense cultural diversity, in a context in which masters, mistresses and collectives are bearers of important references of local culture. Therefore, the objective is to produce reflections that can contribute to the construction of actions to value and preserve cultural heritage in the city of Juazeiro do Norte. The study has a qualitative approach, based on the concepts of heritage, heritage education, citizenship and sustainable development, relating heritage and the SDGs, consisting of a literature review and documentary and field research, analyzing the data in an integrated manner. With the results, we hope to contribute to the value and preservation of cultural heritage, strengthening culture as a dimension of sustainability.
