Summary:Playing outdoors allows children to have interactions and contact with others, creating opportunities to enhance executive functions. This research has the general objective of developing an educational product (webinar) for early childhood education professionals at Espaço de Desenvolvimento Infantil Professora Maria Luiza Jobim de Queiroz about the importance of playing outdoors for the development of executive functions in children aged 3 to 6 years. The development of executive functions, working memory, inhibitory control, cognitive flexibility, planning, creativity can be enhanced by playing with and in nature, with school as the pillar for this experience to occur. The webinar will help teachers at this teaching unit to be better equipped to promote pedagogical practices with free play in natural environments, capable of developing children's autonomy and cognitive-emotional skills through outdoor play.
