O objetivo deste artigo é apresentar a importância do checklist, facilitando no processo de gerenciamento da configuração dos periódicos indexados no Portal de Periódicos Eletrônicos Científicos (PPEC) da UNICAMP, utilizando a plataforma Open Journal System (OJS). Este artigo tem como foco o relato de experiência com a abordagem descritiva qualitativa no processo identificar o tempo, os erros e acertos. Através desta plataforma que indexa os periódicos que realizam a disseminação da informação como acesso livre. Por fim, consideramos que esta prática de atividade como checklist é fundamental para obtermos êxito na organização e descrição de cada campo a preencher.
