Description
Summary:This article produces a conjunctural analysis in relation to the contradictions existent during the last years in Ecuador. For this, studying the country from its condition of double dependence (dollarization and oil resources), the investigation indicate the resumption of neoliberal prescriptions in the midst of the reactionary movement of “descorreazation” in national politics. In this way, the text highlights the contradictions of Ecuadorian neodevelopmentalism, during the experience of the “Citizen Revolution” (2007-2017), and the political platforms of buen vivir, conceived, above all, by indigenous movements. In summary, presenting somecontributions of Marxist thought, the text points out the main dilemmas and paths of Ecuadorian society in the first decades of the 21st century.
