As José Paulo Netto rightly highlighted in presentation of the Brazilian translation (by Pedro Davoglio) of this great book bymodestly simple title, “until the end of the second decade of the 20th century” does not there was a systematic study of the life and work of the man who, alongside Karl Marx, the great founder of historical materialism.
