O objetivo deste artigo é articular política e educação a partir dos escritos de Gramsci, tendo como referência a ideia de direção política no interior do partido. Para explicitar esse tema, tomamos como base a noção gramsciana de vanguarda, com recortes de escritos de 1919-1920, a carta de 1926 e fragmentos dos Cadernos do cárcere, que acentuam a necessidade de superar a divisão e o distanciamento entre dirigentes e dirigidos. Trata-se de acentuar a concepção original de Gramsci a respeito da organização do Partido na afirmação de que todos são intelectuais e que, portanto, todos têm a capacidade de se tornarem dirigentes.
