Description
Summary:In the present work we will seek to analyze in a comparative key some interpretative trends currently widespread in the historiographies of Brazil and Argentina. Trying to understand their points of contact, their similarities and the context in which they emerged, we will highlight the transformations experienced by the intellectual environment of both countries, especially since the mid-1980s, when an immense ideological offensive took the form of Marxism and canonical interpretations. inspired by Marxism as a target. In this scenario, reflections on historiographical work gain importance, with emphasis on revisionist initiatives, their inescapable political component and the links between memory and the recent past.
