This article explores his biography and his writings from the period, seeking to understand the importance of the issues and ideas that he presents in these texts, crossed by themes such as literature, religiosity and politics, and their relationship with the Peruvian political context, in which Mariátegui progressively assumes increasingly radical and critical positions towards the political and governmental leaders of his time
