| Summary: | In this article, we argue that Marxism can contribute to a more systematic formulation of “social movements”. Thus, it is fundamental to do so from a class analysis of them. In seeking to move in this direction, this text is based on some formulations by Nicos Poulantzas, mainly in relation to the economic, political and ideological determinations of social classes and their potential political positions through “social movements”. Our hypothesis is that the dominated can organize themselves or in support of the ruling classes within the power block. |
