Description
Summary:Between 2002 and 2006, the journalist Elio Gaspari published five volumes of a work about the Brazilian dictatorship. His interpretation softens its violent character and splits responsibilities between repressors and victims. Is was an operation that can be considered revisionist, creating a narrative in which characters with prominent participation in the coup and in the dictatorship – such as Castelo Branco, Ernesto Geisel and Golbery do Couto e Silva – are presented in an extremely positive way.
