Description
Summary:This article investigates the relationship between heritage and environment in the municipality of Andrelândia, located in the south of Minas Gerais, Brazil, with particular emphasis on its archaeological sites, highlighting the Serra de Santo Antônio Archaeological Park. The outlined purpose is to highlight the intrinsic connection between theory and practice, by integrating the themes of conservation and sustainability as instruments to deepen the understanding of the legacies and values inherent to natural and material heritage, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This study adopts an integrative review approach, with the aim of synthesizing existing knowledge and incorporating the applicability of results from significant studies in practice. Through a rigorous bibliographic survey and critical analysis of the studies included, it appears that the thoughts of Enrique Leff, Edgar Morin and Paulo Freire constitute, in fact, fundamental guides for the intrinsic relationship between heritage and environmental education.
