Summary:We are writing these lines because of the feeling of joy that pervades us, with the completion and realization of the curatorship of the Mariza Corrêa Prize for Visual Anthropology, at the Jornadas John Monteiro 2023. The work began as an initiative of postgraduate students - master's and doctoral - from the Department of Social Anthropology at IFCH/UNICAMP and other departments and universities. From this meeting, the Jornadas John Monteiro and Proa: Revista de Antropologia e Arte, the award committee was formed, made up of four people, two from each organization.
