| Summary: | This article analyzes some sociotechnical devices mobilized in the production of beef markets. From the description of distinct sociotechnical logics that coexist in the daily work of cattle raising, the text argues that the conversion of kilograms into arrobas and the registration of cattle in systems configure sociotechnical devices that structure beef markets.
