Posteriormente, establecemos aproximaciones entre la obra teórica del sonólogo y la obra de Cildo Meireles, un artista visual que utiliza el sonido como medio de creación. Finalmente, observamos cómo la poética del pensamiento teórico de Rodolfo Caesar posibilita una percepción y un análisis profundizados de obras situadas en el ámbito de las visualidades. Este artigo se dedica a percorrer aspectos relevantes da obra teórica do artista Rodolfo Caesar em direção a uma reinvenção da escuta. Atravessamos elaborações de Rodolfo Caesar sobre imagem sonora, loop, a relação entre escuta e noite, bem como a noção de cópia no campo do sonoro. Em seguida, estabelecemos aproximações entre a obra teórica do sonólogo e a obra de Cildo Meireles, artista visual que recorre ao sonoro como meio de criação. Por fim, observamos como a poesia do pensamento teórico de Rodolfo Caesar viabiliza uma percepção e uma análise adensadas de obras situadas no campo das visualidades.
