El 8 de octubre de 2023, la comunidad de Matapí, ubicada en el río Tiquié – Tierra Indígena Alto Río Negro –, donde conviven personas tukano oriental y yuhupdeh, se organizó para un evento que no ocurría desde hacía más de una década, desde la muerte del antiguo jefe tukano: una pesca con uso de timbó (veneno de pesca). Muy temprano, al amanecer, algunos hombres subieron por el igarapé de aguas rojas que queda justo arriba de la comunidad, cargando una canoa llena de una mezcla de timbó machacado con arcilla. La comunidad estaba invadida por una intensa alegría. Em 8 de outubro de 2023 a comunidade de Matapí, localizada no rio Tiquié – Terra Indígena Alto Rio Negro, onde juntos vivem pessoas tukano oriental e yuhupdeh, se organizou para um evento que não ocorria há mais de uma década, desde que o antigo chefe tukano falecera: uma pescaria com uso do timbó (veneno de pesca). Bem cedo, ainda no alvorecer, alguns homens subiram o igarapé de águas vermelhas que fica logo acima da comunidade, carregando uma canoa cheia de uma mistura de timbó batido com argila. A comunidade estava tomada por uma intensa alegria.
