Summary:This is a review of the e-book “Women and Education in the 19th Century: Artifacts and Sensitivities”, released in November 2024 by the publisher of the State University of Ceará – EdUECE. The work is an offshoot of the virtual exhibition of the same title, available for access since May 2022. The publication consists of a dictionary of entries in which the characteristics and everyday uses of 70 objects related to the female universe are presented. Belonging to private collections, the collection portrayed in the work contributes to research on nineteenth-century female education and reinforces the importance of preserving the educational heritage linked to formal and informal instructional settings. The entries were written by 73 authors linked to important Brazilian and foreign teaching and research institutions.
