La publicación consiste en un diccionario de entradas en el que se presentan las características y usos cotidianos de 70 objetos relacionados con el universo femenino. Perteneciente a colecciones privadas, la colección retratada en la obra contribuye a la investigación sobre la educación femenina decimonónica y refuerza la importancia de preservar el patrimonio educativo vinculado a los escenarios de instrucción formal e informal. Los artículos fueron escritos por 73 autores vinculados a importantes instituciones de enseñanza e investigación brasileñas y extranjeras. Il s'agit de la critique du livre électronique « Femmes et éducation au XIXe siècle : artefacts et sensibilités » publié en novembre 2024 par l'éditeur de l'Université d'État du Ceará – EdUECE. L'ouvrage est une émanation de l'exposition virtuelle du même titre, accessible en accès depuis mai 2022. La publication consiste en un dictionnaire d'entrées dans lequel sont présentées les caractéristiques et les usages quotidiens de 70 objets liés à l'univers féminin. Pertencente a coleções particulares, o acervo retratado na obra contribui para pesquisas acerca da educação feminina oitocentista e reforça a importância da preservação do patrimônio educacional vinculado a cenários formais e informais de instrução.
