| Summary: | Introduction: This article proposes a reflection on digital photography, especially in the field of photojournalism, and its management and preservation. Objective: to explore the dialogic interfaces between archiving and digital photojournalism in order to conduct an analysis of the management and preservation of the digital photographic archive of the Jornal O Globo. Specifically, the aim is to identify the main problems that are present in the management and preservation of the archives of the Jornal O Globo. Methodology: qualitative, exploratory and descriptive research, seeking to interpret the data collected from the application of questionnaires that aim to enable the achievement of the level of professional awareness linked to the preservation of digital photographic archives. In addition to these instruments, theoretical contributions from famous authors in the field of Archival Science were also used. Results: The study, therefore, seeks to cast a critical eye on the issue of digital management and preservation of photographic documents, as well as to present practical and viable possibilities for carrying out effective work in the area of photojournalism. Conclusion: it was possible to see that the photojournalist has direct participation in the production, selection (evaluation), identification and sending of digital photographic documents to the repository for permanent archiving. |
