Description
Summary:This paper aims to shed light on the sexual culture currently known as BDSM, presenting its main characteristics, ethical codes, and the importance of aesthetics in erotic play and its public image. It also explores BDSM in its intersection with sex work, a practice that takes on distinct contours, as demonstrated in the ethnographic account of a professional dominatrix. For this reflection, bibliographic references are used in dialogue with field findings. At the end of the text, a photographic essay with field images is presented, visually complementing the proposed analysis. The paper concludes by emphasizing the importance of new ethics and aesthetics for the development of new sexual politics.
