| Summary: | Decolonial theory is considered the contemporary representation of anticolonial thought in Latin America. Recent bibliographies have developed a critique arguing that decolonialism is, in fact, an opposition to anticolonialism. The goal is to analyze part of this bibliography by synthesizing the main critiques leveled at decolonial theory. Two works of theoretical compilation were selected: Piel blanca, máscaras negras and Crítica a la razón neocolonial, respectively, published in 2020 and 2021. These are among the first critiques to organize and unify the thought of various authors under the axis of a "critique of decolonial theory" within Latin American academia. We intend to contribute to the ongoing organization of literature that demonstrates the first signs of a crisis in decolonialism, given its lack of response to the problems raised by various critics in recent years regarding its scientific-critical, theoretical, and historical perspectives. |
