| description | The Campinas State University’s Information Service to the Citizen (SIC – UNICAMP), entity linked to the University’s General Coordination (CGU), works to promote the institutional information’s transparency. The SIC-UNICAMP was implemented through GR Resolution no. 046/2012 and from GR Resolution no. 009/2016 its competences were extended. It is important to highlight that the implementation of SIC-UNICAMP complies with provisions from Article 9 from the Access to Information Law (LAI) – Federal Law no. 12.527/2011. The main purposes of SIC-UNICAMP are: 1) promote the information of collective interest to society and 2) meeting the citizens’ information demands. The SIC-UNICAMP’s effort results basically in identifying the institutional information of social interest to proceed with the promotion in the Site and receive the access orders to information to make the service viable. The information promoted must be regularly updated and the information list must be extended in line with the society’s interest. To meet the orders, it is essential to pay attention to the principles set forth by legislation, especially when it comes to meeting deadlines. Since the implementation of SIC-UNICAMP, we can note that the services provided have evolved. Its performance makes clear that the Entity represents a necessary tool to exercise citizenry, in a way that allows citizens to exercise the constitutional right of access to information, thus making viable the necessary conditions of participation and control of the University’s actions. |

O Serviço de Informações ao Cidadão da Universidade Estadual de Campinas (SIC-UNICAMP), órgão vinculado a Coordenadoria Geral da Universidade (CGU), atua na promoção da transparência das informações institucionais. O SIC-UNICAMP foi instalado através da Resolução GR nº 046/2013 e a partir da Resolução GR nº 009/2016 teve as suas competências ampliadas. É importante ressaltar que a instalação do SIC-UNICAMP cumpre ao disposto no Artigo 9º da Lei de Acesso à Informação (LAI) - Lei Federal nº 12.527/2011. Os objetivos principais do SIC-UNICAMP são: 1) divulgar as informações de interesse coletivo à sociedade e 2) atender as demandas informacionais dos cidadãos. O esforço do SIC-UNICAMP se traduz basicamente em identificar as informações institucionais de interesse social para proceder à divulgação no Portal e receber os pedidos de acesso à informação para viabilizar o atendimento. As informações divulgadas devem ser atualizadas regularmente e o rol de informações deve ser ampliado em consonância com o interesse da sociedade. Para o atendimento dos pedidos é fundamental se atentar aos preceitos estabelecidos pela legislação, especialmente no que se refere ao cumprimento de prazos. Desde a instalação do SIC-UNICAMP o que se percebe é uma evolução dos atendimentos prestados. A sua atuação deixa evidente que o Órgão representa uma ferramenta indispensável ao exercício da cidadania, na medida em que permite aos cidadãos exercer o direito constitucional de acesso à informação, viabilizando assim as condições necessárias de participação e de controle das ações da Universidade.
