| Summary: | Coordinated by professor Juliana Borin, from Unicamp's Computing Institute, the "SmartGirls" project was developed in 2014, teaching girls from Escola Hilton Frederici how to code using the Inventor App, tool developed by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, which enables to code using visual, easy to learn resources. I took part in this project as as volunteer, and was responsible, together with other volunteers, for preparing the didactic material used in classes. In 2015, based on this material, I and Daniela Schwab, Unicamp's external professional, structured the electronic book "Develop Logical Thinking and your Creativity creating applications for mobile phones, using Inventor App", which was supported by GGBS Tender for project support. The book exposes the Inventor App's main component concepts and presents code concepts, based in examples. Each chapter has a step-by-step on a simple application, using new concepts and a challenge, so the reader develop one's thinking and learn the entire content. The book was partially used in May/2016 as a material to teach three students with PIBIC scholarships linked to OCRC/Unicamp to develop a mini-game about healthy diet and proved to be efficient to teach young people. This project promoted some improvement points that caused the finalization of a new version to September/2016, to be disclosed by facebook to extend its use. |
