| description | The Interdisciplinary Research and Teaching Hubs and Centers were implemented at UNICAMP with the purpose of enabling cultural, scientific and technological investigations with interdisciplinary characteristics. Since 1998, 21 authorities are governed by Unicamp's Interdisciplinary Hubs and Centers Coordination (COCEN). We count on 08 implemented Libraries, to contribute with the knowledge promotion and their archives are resulting from each Center and Hub's specificities and from the interdisciplinary characteristics in which they are constituted. This study aimed to know Cocen's library potential in planning, development and action in activities of science and technology promotion/popularization and their insertion on Unicamp's Library System. The main purpose of the scientific promotion is the social knowledge sharing, that is, the ability to give to the general audience the scientific and technological knowledge, as well as its culture, its values, assumptions and operation, which, for a long time was pulled away, given the growing development and specialization of the scientific affairs. At the Centers and Hubs, researchers, specialists, graduation and post-graduation students, associated professors from Brazilian and foreign universities can be found, as well as the general community, mobilized by the different fields in which these authorities act and by the different action ways, and which, as it may be checked, are constituted in these Centers and Hubs' library users. The great challenge is the action on Knowledge Promotion, since the libraries may be appointed as scientific and cultural spaces, which the society uses to access scientific information. |

Os Centros e Núcleos Interdisciplinares de Ensino e Pesquisa foram implantados na UNICAMP com o objetivo de permitir investigações cultural, científica e tecnológica com características interdisciplinares. Desde 1998, 21 órgãos são regidos pela Coordenadoria dos Centros e Núcleos Interdisciplinares da Unicamp (COCEN). Contamos com 08 Bibliotecas implantadas para contribuir com a divulgação do conhecimento e os seus acervos são resultantes das especificidades de cada Centro e Núcleos e pela característica interdisciplinar em que se constituem. Este estudo buscou conhecer o potencial das bibliotecas da Cocen no planejamento, desenvolvimento e atuação em atividades de divulgação/popularização da ciência e tecnologia e sua inserção no Sistema de Bibliotecas da Unicamp. O principal objetivo da divulgação científica é a partilha social do saber, isto é, a capacidade de levar ao público em geral o conhecimento científico e tecnológico, assim como de sua cultura, seus valores, pressupostos e funcionamento, que por muito tempo lhe foi distanciado, dado ao crescente desenvolvimento e especialização dos assuntos científicos. Nos Centros e Núcleos encontram-se pesquisadores especialistas, alunos de graduação e de pós-graduação, docentes associados de universidades brasileiras e estrangeiras, e a comunidade em geral, mobilizados pelas diferentes áreas em que estes órgãos atuam e por suas diferentes formas de atuação, e que, conforme poderá ser verificado, constituem-se em usuários das bibliotecas destes Centros e Núcleos. O grande desafio é a atuação na Divulgação do Conhecimento, já que as bibliotecas podem ser apontadas como espaços científicos e culturais em que a sociedade utiliza para acessar informação científica.
