There is a demand from teachers of the elementary and high school for the discussion to consider the school environment in a realist and valued way. Methods Considering this, there was an understanding and valuation partnership of a school unit, located in a blue-collar neighborhood, involving Unicamp, through GGBS, PUC-Campinas, Social Communication Department and EE Prof. Adalberto Prado e Silva, located between the two academic institutions, promoting research of the school results. The use of technology in classroom was analyzed as an improvement tool of the learning results. Results There was a rescue of various positive results evidenced by the press and related to the school unit and institutional partnerships. Going against the prevalence of negative aspects, usually given prominence. Then, the recognition to a work frequently invisible at the school's daily routine was promoted, reaching teachers, in recognition to the teamwork. The teacher team was strengthened exactly in what was already produced by them, in a sense of appreciating the teacher, the use of communication technologies and relationship with the society, through press organizations, also analyzing manipulation aspects. The students were also reached; they were motivated to develop, and performed, in an impacting way, a Racism-themed work. A video, made by the students, with extension project guidance, was selected as an index of good educational practices. |

As instituições acadêmicas têm relevante papel a ser cumprido no tocante à melhoria dos indicadores educacionais no contexto das escolas públicas. Há uma demanda de professores dos ensinos fundamental e médio para que a discussão considere o ambiente escolar de forma realista e valorizadora. Métodos Considerando isso houve uma parceria de compreensão e de valorização de uma unidade escolar, situada em um bairro operário, envolvendo a Unicamp, através do GGBS, a PUC-Campinas, área de Comunicação Social e a EE Prof. Adalberto Prado e Silva, localizada entre as duas instituições acadêmicas , promovendo pesquisa dos resultados da escola. O uso da tecnologia em sala de aula foi analisado como ferramenta de melhoria dos resultados de aprendizagem Resultados Houve resgate de vários resultados positivos evidenciados pela imprensa e relacionados com a unidade escolar e parcerias institucionais. Na contramão da prevalência dos aspectos negativos, normalmente colocados em evidência. Promoveu-se assim o reconhecimento a um trabalho por vezes invisível no cotidiano da escola, alcançando os professores, em reconhecimento ao trabalho da equipe. A equipe de professores foi fortalecida exatamente naquilo que já produzia, em sentido de valorização do professor, uso das tecnologias de comunicação e relação com a sociedade, através de órgãos de imprensa, inclusive analisando aspectos de manipulação. Alcançou-se também os alunos que foram motivados a desenvolver, e realizaram de forma impactante , trabalho temático, tema Racismo. Um vídeo , produzido pelos alunos, com orientação do projeto de extensão foi selecionado como um indicador de boas práticas educacionais.
