Description
Summary:This work has been carried out since the beginning of 2016 with children aged 3 years old at Health Department Daycare. The proposal was necessary due to the understanding that the child must act directly on the space where one belongs, being able to give opinions and new meaning to this space in one's own way. In addition to that, since it is a public space, it is important that small children understand that it is their space, but also everyone's space, since they are social beings and must understand that life in society depends on the respect to each other and to their ideas and beliefs. The activities are performed in simple ways, every day in a different space, using stationary materials available at the daycare and scrap. The shared rooms are: music; games; studio; library and garden. The experience in these rooms and the optimization of these environments, in addition to enable children to feel like they are part of something, from their social group at daycare and the spaces they occupy every day, give the opportunity for them to internalize the public notion and understand themselves as socially acting beings. In an increasingly individualist world, in which one's will frequently overwhelms the people's will, even in said democratic decisions, it is an emergency to have an education prioritizing collective decisions and experiences with "us" as a priority instead of "me". The work is in progress and the moments will occur while there is interest by the children.
