| description | In Brazil, the extension, which is one of the higher education bases, together with the teaching and research, according to provisions from article 207, caput, from Federal Constitution, should be valued, since it is an interaction way between population and university. With the purpose of providing the health field professionals and correlate areas, submitted to improvement programs and knowledge recycling, with the interaction and population service in primary, ssecondary and tertiary levels, and the valuation of the health area. These actions and purposes are part of the Medical Sciences College (UNICAMP FCM) activities, which, since Februrary 2011, through the Extension Committee, develops the Service Training Program, oriented to the health area. This work purpose is to ground the service training program based on the "andragogy" principles, consists of the adult learning process, in which the adult is put as the main conductor of the learning process and and interest by their professional development. The Service Training Program was created in February 2011, currently offers 379 programs, and already served 866 professionals from various health fields. It serves the society and including the private sector. |

No Brasil, a extensão que é um dos pilares do ensino superior, junto com o ensino e a pesquisa, conforme dispõe o artigo 207, caput, da Constituição Federal, deve ser valorizada, por ser uma forma de interação entre a população e a universidade. Com o objetivo de proporcionar aos profissionais da área da saúde e áreas correlatas, submetidos a programas de aprimoramento e reciclagem de conhecimentos, a convivência e o atendimento da população em níveis primários, secundários e terciários e a valorização da área da saúde. Essas ações e objetivos fazem parte das atividades da Faculdade de Ciências Médicas (FCM da Unicamp) que desde fevereiro de 2011, através da Comissão de Extensão, desenvolve o Programa de Treinamento em Serviço voltado para a área da saúde. O objetivo deste trabalho é fundamentar o programa de treinamento em serviço baseado nos princípios da " andragogia" , consiste no processo de aprendizagem de adultos no qual coloca-se o adulto como o principal condutor do seu processo de aprendizagem e de interesse pelo o seu desenvolvimento profissional. O Programa de Treinamento em Serviços foi criado em Fevereiro de 2011, atualmente oferece 379 programas, e já atendeu 866 profissionais de diversas áreas da saúde. Atende a sociedade e inclusive a iniciativa privada.
