| Summary: | The involvement of a chronic disease, such as cancer, affects a subject's life, as well as their relatives', in various situations, highlighting the financial and professional situation, given that it makes difficult the labora capacity of all people involved, resetting the patient's autonomy, of keeping their own sustenance. The study long to know the social security situation and the municipality of origin of the patients served at CAISM/UNICAMP's Clinical Oncology Ward. This understanding has the purpose of understanding the relationship between tertiary attention of a Teaching Hospital and the care process, in order to provide life quality to the subject with cancer. On the Social Service's work routine is necessary to bear in mind the patients' house territory, since those are the places where all actions occur. The territory goes beyond the geographic space, being a place of identity, rhythms and expression marks. The research was carried out through seondary source, arising from the Social Service's own instrument filed on the single chart, with 56 patients that needed the Social Service's intervention to make viable the protective support for the healthcare. The social worker's action at CAISM/UNICAMP's Clinical Oncology Ward is based on the access conception, rights guarantees and assessing the support network from the patient's house territory. |
