| Summary: | Unicamp instituted in 2003 the Prevention Program to the Use of Legal and Illegal Psychoactive Substances - Viva Mais [Live More] - concerned regarding the high prevalence of issues related to the consumption of psychoactive substances at the University's Campi. In 2015, the Unicamp's Community (employees, professors, students and internships) was invited to take part in the online research to assess the knowledge level, in order to propose and develop improvement actions. A transversal quantitative research was performed through questionnaire, using Google Docs, after approval by Unicamp's Ethics and Research Committee. 762 subjects took part. It was verified that 56.8% correspond to the youngest age range, from 18 to 30 years old; 59.1% point out lack of knowledge on Viva Mais Program; from 40% of those who heard about it, 88.8% do not know how the Program works; 86.6% do not receive information and/or cannot inform about the Viva Mais Program actions. It is concluded that there must be greater promotion to the general academic community; develop timely actions to avoid excessive consumption of cigarette, alcohol and illegal drugs by Unicamp's students and employees, with partnerships of Campus Rectorate and City Hall; group creation and place to discuss issues related to psychoactive substances, and other related to health and focus on specific actions to the University's young audience. |
