| description | Dental reabsorptions are rare situations in Dentistry. In this clinical case, a Caucasian patient, female, appeared at Cecom's dental clinic for endodontic treatment of element 22. On the initial radiographic examination, the presence of internal and external reabsorption of 21 was observed, which presented itself asymptomatic. The patient did not remember of having suffered trauma on the mentioned region. The only complaint regarding this element was the occasional presence of a fistula in marginal gingiva, from which exudate was emerging. The patient was submitted to endodontic and restoring treatment of 22; afterwards, the multidisciplinary treatment of 21 (endodontics, periondotology and dentistry). Initially, the endodontic treatment of 21 was performed by an endodontist, plugging the third root apical with gutta-percha + sealer 26, and the rest of conduit with MTA. After 01 week, the patient returned for esthetic complementation of external reabsorption sealing. A mucosa remnant was performed by a periodontist, which was elevated, with the root being debrided after that. Areas sealed with MTA, after the tusk, become blackened, then the need of replacing this part by a more esthetic material. From here, an aesthetics specialist removed this MTA part, then performing a transurgical restoration with light curing resin. Once the restoration was made, the periodontist repositioned the remnant and held the suture. The case has been followed up for 18 months, without signs of reabsorption reactivation and without periodontal damage. |

Neste caso clínico, um paciente leucoderma, gênero feminino, apresentou-se na clínica odontológica do Cecom, para tratamento endodôntico do elemento 22. Ao exame radiográfico inicial, constatou-se a presença de reabsorção interna e externa do 21, que apresentava-se assintomático. A paciente não se recordava de ter sofrido trauma na referida região. A única queixa com relação a este elemento era a presença ocasional de uma fístula em gengiva marginal, da qual saia um exsudato. A paciente submeteu-se ao tratamento endodôntico e restaurador do 22, e a seguir ao tratamento multidisciplinar do 21 (endodontia, periodontia e dentística). Inicialmente o tratamento endodôntico do 21 foi realizado por um endodontista, obturando-se o terço apical da raiz com guta – percha + sealer 26, e o restante do conduto com MTA. Após 01 semana a paciente retornou para complementação estética do vedamento da reabsorção externa. Foi realizado um retalho em mucosa, por uma periodontista, o qual foi elevado, sendo a raiz debridada em seguida. Áreas vedadas com MTA, após a presa, ficam enegrecidas, daí a necessidade de substituição desta parte por um material mais estético. A partir daqui uma especialista em estética realizou a remoção desta parte do MTA, realizando em seguida uma restauração transcirúrgica com resina fotopolimerizável. Feita a restauração, a periodontista reposicionou o retalho e realizou as suturas. O caso está em acompanhamento há 18 meses, sem sinais de reativação das reabsorções e sem comprometimento periodontal.
