| Summary: | Ageing in Brazil is a social-economic issue. The senior age has grown, according to IBGE [Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics], until 2050, one out of three people will be senior in the World. The society and the government are preparing to this new reality. At University, it is not different; the number of employees entering this stage is growing. The Program appeared after a critical analysis from GGBS Social Service, through social services to retired employees who present significant social demands related to health, citizenry, respect, family, community and financial interaction. It contemplates individual services to social issues survey and sensitizations for group actions, meetings held fortnightly, on the University scope and/or external activities, with three hours of duration, with 15 participants. Educative and informative lectures, workshops, cultural tours, physical and playful activities, booklets and newsletter. The topics worked are proposed by the technical team or emerged in the reflections and group needs. The adhesion is performed through the referral or spontaneous demand. Through assessments, it is possible to conclude that the positive results and increase of demand. We search partnerships and improvement always offering an efficient service. The activities developed in the Program has met the goals. The search in the last six months increased significantly the participation of retired employees, but also employees on leave, which led us to develop an intervention project to meet the emerging demand. |
