El trabajo aborda el papel de la escuela en la adquisición de los materiales didácticos en educación básica en el nivel primaria a partir de la perspectiva que se tiene desde los programas en los años 90 que cambiaron ciertos paradigmas en la educación en México pero que no han tenido los resultados deseados en exámenes internacionales estandarizados como el Programa para la evaluación internacional de alumnos (PISA). Así también se plasman y analizan las visiones de docentes que se encuentran actualmente frente a grupo en la importancia de los materiales en las escuelas desde sus realidades y perspectivas.
