Description
Summary:In 2019, the Cordel das Cordas Populares project taught in collective classes the musical genres that make up the forró to students of bowed strings, in a situation of social vulnerability. Prepared by the author of this article, the material is based upon the artistic and pedagogical works of popular violinists Nicolas Krassik (1969-) and Ricardo Herz (1978-), and its teaching was carried out through storytelling in cordel booklets and dance teaching. This article intends to describe and analyze this interdisciplinary pedagogical experience of musical performance, through a decolonial pedagogical approach, demonstrating the complementarity between the practices of music, storytelling, and dance.
