| Summary: | This article discusses the relationship between the educational project of the Escola-Familia (Ibelga) and life projects of young girls and boys of the Baixada de Salinas, state of Rio de Janeiro. It is a case study with 46 interviews: 20 girls and 26 boys, from 14 to 20 years old. Through their answers it can be stated that youths from Baixada de Salinas wants to go on working in agriculture, but not all of them. Agricultural-technical education may contribute also for the rural young people to grasp working opportunities in the cities. |
